ARTWORK/DESIGN

What does “print‑ready artwork” mean?

It’s a file that can go straight to print without any edits from our team. Correct size, correct format, correct color, fonts embedded/outlined, images high‑resolution, and with bleed/safe margins set.

Which file formats are best?
Preferred: PDF (press/high quality), AI, EPS.
Acceptable: High‑resolution TIFF or JPEG (300 dpi at final size).
Not ideal: Word, PowerPoint, Canva share links, screenshots - these usually need fixing.

What size and resolution do you need?
Set your document to the exact final print size (e.g., 600 x 900mm for a corflute or poster).
Images: 300 dpi at final size for small items (cards, flyers, posters).
Large format/signage (banners, flags, corflute, foam PVC): 100–150 dpi at final size is typically perfect because they’re viewed from a distance.

Do I need bleed and crop marks?
All of our products require bleed, however the amount of bleed varies product to product t oallow for specific finishing options.
Crop marks are not required for large format products but are required for most small format porducts.

It is best to download our templates for the produtc you are ordering to ensure the design is set up correctly. If you are unable to find the product template you need, please contact us and we will be happy to send the template across.

Which color mode should I use - RGB or CMYK?
Always supply CMYK for printing.
Spot/Pantone colors: we’ll convert to CMYK unless you’ve arranged spot color printing.
RGB files can shift when converted - CMYK ensures closer print accuracy.

My colours look different on screen. Why?
Screens show RGB light; print uses CMYK inks. Variations are normal.
Calibrated monitors and CMYK‑built artwork improve consistency.
If exact brand color is critical, provide Pantone references or a previous sample.

What about fonts - embed or outline?
Convert all text to outlines/curves before exporting your PDF.
Or embed fonts within the PDF. Outlining prevents font substitution issues.

What are safe margins and why do they matter?
Safe margins keep critical content away from edges that may trim, fold, or be stitched/eyeleted.
Use 5–10 mm safe margin for small format; 15–30 mm for large format or hemmed/eyeleted banners.

How should I supply images and logos?
Use vector files (AI/EPS/SVG/PDF) for logos whenever possible.
Photos: supply at correct resolution (see Q3) and avoid upscaling low‑res images.
Avoid screenshots or web images - they’re usually too low‑res.

Do you need overprint settings or rich black?
Rich black for large dark areas: C60 M40 Y40 K100 (or similar) gives a deeper black.
Body text should be 100% K to avoid registration issues.
Overprint: only use intentionally (e.g., for black text). If unsure, leave off.

How do I export a print‑ready PDF from Adobe Illustrator?
File > Save As > PDF
Preset: High Quality Print or Press Quality
Marks & Bleeds: Use Document Bleed Settings (ensure your bleed is set); include crop marks if required
Compression: Keep images at 300 dpi (small format) or 150 dpi (large format)

What if I only have a JPEG?
Supply the highest resolution available at final size. We’ll advise if it’s likely to look soft/pixelated.

If you experience any issues uploading your files, you have a couple of easy options:

  1. Email: Send your artwork files to orders@bannerworld.com.au and include your Order Number.

If you need further assistance, our team is always happy to help!

Artwork created with AI (chatGPT, Claude, CoPilot, Gemini etc.) is generally generated at low resolution and is not suitable for most large format print items.
You can use an AI upscaler which may improve the resolution.

This artwork can be recreated by our design team, however it can not be exactly as the AI bot generated.
We can not fix resolution without recreating files.

For this type of artwork, if your file/s are unsuitable a member from our customer service team will contact you to discuss.

Unfortunately, our system does not support uploading compressed ZIP files directly.

If you need to send us a ZIP file, you have a few easy options:

  1. Upload individual files: Simply upload each file from your ZIP folder separately when placing your order.
  2. Email: Send your ZIP file to orders@bannerworld.com.au and include your order number.
  3. Large files: For larger ZIP files, use WeTransfer (or a similar service) to send your files to orders@bannerworld.com.au - just remember to reference your order number.

If you have any questions or need help with file uploads, our team is always happy to assist!

Yes, absolutely! If you’d like to place an order but don’t have your artwork ready yet, just select the ‘Upload Artwork Later’ option at checkout.

After you’ve placed your order, you’ll receive an email with clear instructions on how to supply your artwork when it’s ready. Simply follow the steps in that email at your convenience.

If you have any questions or need help with the upload process, our team is always here to assist!

Yes, absolutely. If your artwork does not meet our print requirements, our team will always notify you before your order goes into production.

Every file you upload - whether it’s created using our online designer, uploaded directly, or supplied via our templates - goes through a prepress check. During this process, we look for things like:

  • Correct size and template fit for your product
  • Sufficient image resolution for high-quality printing
  • No important text too close to the edge or in “safe zones” where it could get cut off
  • Adequate bleed or hemming allowance
  • All elements needed for your requested finishing (e.g., pockets, fold lines)

If we find an issue (such as wrong size, low resolution, missing elements, or risk of text being cut off), we will contact you directly to discuss your options:

  • You can adjust and re-supply your artwork
  • Or, we can fix it for you and let you know of any costs involved

We do not make changes to your layout or proofread your artwork - we simply check if it’s suitable for print.

Our goal is to ensure you receive the best possible finished product, so rest assured: if there’s a problem with your artwork, you’ll always hear from us before we proceed.

If your artwork or images are too large to upload directly, we offer several convenient options:

  • At Checkout: When checking out, if you select ‘I have print ready files’ you can upload files up to 50mb by drag & dropping the file OR if the files are over 50MB you can select the ‘CLICK HERE to upload files larger than 50MB’ option.
  • Shared Folder: On request, we can provide you with a secure shared folder for easy collaboration. Just follow the link we send, upload your files, and we’ll take care of the rest.
  • File Sharing Services: You can also use popular platforms such as Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, WeTransfer, Adobe Cloud, or any similar service. Simply upload your files and share the link with us.

If you’re unsure which method is best for you, just let us know - we’re happy to help you find the easiest solution!

If you’ve created your design in Canva and need help with amending, resizing, or exporting, you can easily share your file by adding our team as a collaborator. Simply invite sales@20twenty.net as a collaborator on your Canva design.
You can remove our collaborator access once the job is complete.

Exporting Guidelines:
When you’re ready to send us your final artwork, please export your Canva file as a PDF Print. This ensures the best quality for printing.

This product features a lightweight aluminium tube frame paired with a digitally printed fabric sleeve that slides over the top, creating a clean, modern barrier that stands apart from traditional steel options. It’s ideal for indoor applications such as crowd guidance, directional signage or even as a low‑profile media wall.

While both the frame and fabric are weather‑resistant and can be used outdoors like standard steel Crowd Control Barriers, it is important to remember that this is a lighter‑weight system. To prevent it from tipping in windy conditions, the barrier must be secured with sandbags or similar ground weights.

If you need to send us a receipt for your payment, simply email a copy or screenshot of your payment receipt to orders@bannerworld.com.au. Please include your order number or relevant details so we can quickly match your payment to your order.

Important:
If you are paying by EFT or BPAY, a bank receipt is required before we can progress your job into production. Please attach your bank payment confirmation when you email us.
